A circular arena becomes the private ring of a boy who has not known how to grow up. The many faces of suffering are personified in an audiovisual journey that embodies the unbearable pain of being oneself. With a three-act structure, we witness the successive appearance of allegorical characters who peel away from an audience that hides its hunger for misery behind the stands. One by one, they stage their own struggle against the ballast that keeps them from moving forward: the inheritance of family trauma, the need to capture others’ attention, the inability to accept the responsibilities of adult life.

Presented in 2021 at Centre d’Art Lo Pati in Amposta, La Muda  is the result of a creative process lasting over a year and a half, developed by artists Josep Piñol and Greta Díaz. Exhibition of 35 large-format photographs, presented in the Tinglado 1 hall at the Moll de Costa in Tarragona, with texts by Oriol Gracià. A research project in Senegal that adopts a documentary language to turn photographic practice into an ecology of gestures. Like an exploration, or a simulacrum, the texture of the country’s reality is interrogated by the camera and presented in the exhibition space. The traveling show was presented at the Sala Antoni Garcia of the Museu de Tortosa and the brewhouse of Barcelona’s Old Damm Factory.
